nd Samuel said to unto the people, it is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.”(1 Samuel 12:6)
We saw how one encounter supernaturally advanced Mosesinto new realms completely:
1. From “a failure” to a generationally renown prophet – Number 12:3
2. From ‘a man in fear’ to a great deliverer – Exodus 3:7-10; Hosea 12:13
3. From ‘a fugitive’ to ;a god’ in the likeness of men – Exodus 7:1; Acts 14:11
4. From the above and all through scriptures, we discover that at the root of supernatural advancement is spiritual engagement.
The testimonies of the following Bible characters validate this truth:
1. Abraham was tirelessly engaging and God advanced him to become a trans-generational symbol of blessing – Genesis 12:1-3; Genesis 13:6-9; Genesis 22:1-18; Galatians 3:13-14
2. Isaac engage spiritually to emerge the envy of the civilized world of his days – Genesis 12:1-14
3. Jacob engage with God and God advanced him from a person to a nation – Genesis 32:24-28
4. Job was spiritually engaging and was supernaturally advanced to become the greatest business of his days – Job 1:1-9; Job 29:4-18
5. Nehemiah engaged in 21 days of prayer and fasting for the restoration of the dignity of his homeland and from a cupbearer, he became a governor – Nehemiah 1:1-10
6. David was engaging divine presence in praise and worship and God advanced him to become the king of Israel – 1 Samuel1:17-18,23; Psalm 34:1; Psalm 119:164
7. Peter served Jesuswith his boat and emerged the chiefest of the Apostles – Luke5:1-8; Matthew 16:18
8. We don’t wait for advancement, we engage spiritually for advancement – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10,14; Matthew 6:33; Romans 8:14
9. The genuineness of our engagement with God is what determines when we are due for advancement – 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
10. We must approach the altar of prayer, putting our whole hearts on the line – Jeremiah 30:21
11. The genuineness of our spiritual engagement is what determines our advancement in life – Jeremiah 29:13
12. We must engage our hearts in presenting our desires in prayers; not just speaking with our mouth but deep down from our hearts – 1 Samuel1:14-16; James 5:16
13. We must crave for the grace to engage spiritually, tirelessly and fruitfully – John 3:27; Hebrews 12:28; 1 Corinthians 15:58
14. We must engage our whole hearts in searching the scriptures and putting our findings to work in our lives – Jeremiah29:13; Deuteronomy 28:1; 2 Timothy2:15; 1 Timothy4:13,15
15. Pushing only makes a ‘millipede’ in the race of life because there is a limit to which any car can be pushed – 1 Corinthians 9:24-26
16. But genuine spiritual engagement guarantees fulfilment in life – Habakkuk 2:1-3; Romans 8:14
17. Furthermore, we must remember that no one can advance himself; it is God that advances men – 1 Samuel 12:6; Psalm 75:5-6
18. Also, that God is no respecter of persons – Acts 10:34
19. But our God will only advance those who are genuine in their spiritual engagement – Deuteronomy 28:1-13; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3
20. It is time to work out our salvation as we engage with God and the affairs of His kingdom in 2015 – Philippians 2:12
