Khaleed Tailor: I am Khaleed Debola Tailor

Khaleed Tailor: Fashion consultant and specialist in all kinds of “Bespoke wears”

Sammy Sas: So tell us about your early days in life growing up?

Khaleed tailor: growing up wasn’t all fun like every regular naija child
Khaleed tailor: Was born n bread in gwagalada.. Abuja.
Khaleed tailor: To d fam of Mr. N Mrs Jubril bryhm owoyemi
Khaleed tailor: From odoape kabba, bunu local government, kogi state
Khaleed tailor: I grew up learning how to sew at a very tender age
Khaleed tailor: I grew interest in rap music n communication as a whole

Sammy Sas: What inspired you into fashion?

Khaleed tailor: My dad
Khaleed tailor: Of blessed memory

Khaleed tailor: He was a fashion designer based in Italy, acquired his skill at a very tender age as well.

Sammy Sas: So you took after him?

Khaleed tailor: Sure…

Sammy Sas: So tell us about your understanding of the art “Fashion”?

Khaleed tailor: Fashion is simply an expression of your inner self
Khaleed tailor: Appearances defines who you are, what you are and what you going through at the moment
Khaleed tailor: So for me, fashion is watever you choose to call it

Sammy Sas: Tell us a little about your achievement and experiences since the inception of your fashion career?

Khaleed tailor: Khaleed tailor(KT) is a continuity of legacy lay down by J.B.O and sons special tailor plc, so it more of a fam biz headlined by debola tailor with branches in Kogi, Lagos, Abuja, South Africa, London still counting

Khaleed tailor: Recently our product reaches the Shores of America and the Opportunity is still open
Khaleed tailor: We have styled known celebrity’s, and videos in lights of YQ and Olamide (NawoNawo), Jaywon and YQ (carry my bag)
Khaleed tailor: Eben (all the way), DJ Real, Slim Joe (oti yanyan)..TS (Oliver twist) Ehiz films, Phizzy joe (work shop ent)

Khaleed tailor: Mars, 86incfilms, lahlah sdm, Emexbalo, Emeka anslem, kaddo, bolaji brand

Khaleed tailor: We’ve been able to reproduce our kind. Josh couture (JC) and sead..
Khaleed tailor: We’ve been able to prove to every of this personalities that style should go beyond compromise
Khaleed tailor: And that gave birth to out slogan “kt style beyond compromise”

Sammy Sas: So with your experience so far in the fashion industry, what do you think is the major challenge, faced by the sector in Nigeria?

Khaleed tailor: Textile sector of the Iand is not functioning as it ought to… 2. State of the art equipments… 3. No access to advance  platforms to showcase the local products both within outside the country most especially to the upcoming designers
Khaleed tailor: Lack of capital
Khaleed tailor: And financial support
